ISIL created to ensure Israel’s security

TEHRAN, Jul. 07 (MNA) – Top Military Aide to the Iranian Supreme Leader Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Tue. the formation of ISIL and Yemen conflicts aim to divide Muslims and ensure Israel's security.

Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi added that Saudi Arabia – by procuring the most number of military equipment among other littoral states of the Persian Gulf as well as by backing ISIL terrorist militants – is one of the main causes of insecurity in the region.

He further censured the Saudi Arabia's wrong regional policies that had aggravated the flames of conflict in Yemen through their military intervention, saying such measures are in line with creating division among Muslims and secure the position of Israel in the region.

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, by contrast, has always sought to preserve stability and collective unity among regional countries.

The Iranian general also asserted that Iran’s military units are keeping a vigilant eye on potential threats against the country and always make the utmost efforts in safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity.

According to the UN reports, some 3,000 people have been killed in Yemen since the Saudi-led campaign began in March in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement as well as restore to power fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Iran, while sending humanitarian aids to the war-torn Yemeni people, has repeatedly urged the United Nations to stop the Saudi aggression on Yemen and urged the International Criminal Court to bring to justice the Saudi leaders and Air Force commander for the crimes against humanity they ordered to be perpetrated in that country for more than 100 days now.
